Proscans
gave a new dimension of high magnitude of service to humanity by constructing a
high tech Charitable Diagnostic Centre which is spread over a sprawling 20,000sq.ft.
This centre is the only one of its kind in the city Chennai, where most of
state-of-art Diagnostic Facilities are provided under one roof at a very
reasonable cost.
Proscans
has added new services in its centre at Chennai, where 20 world’s latest
technology machines have been installed for Haemodialysis. This centre has also
added OPD facilities to serve the mankind.

Cardiology
is a specialty dealing with disorders of the heart and blood vessels. The field
includes diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery
disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrocardiography.
Physicians specializing in this field of medicine are called cardiologists.
Cardiologists should not be confused with cardiac surgeons, cardio-thoracic, and
cardiovascular who are surgeons who perform cardiac surgery - operative
procedures on the heart and great vessels

In
medicine, dialysis (from Greek "dialusis", meaning dissolution,
"dia", meaning through, and "lusis", meaning loosening) is
primarily used to provide an artificial replacement for lost kidney function
(renal replacement therapy) due to renal failure. Dialysis may be used for very
sick patients who have suddenly but temporarily, lost their kidney function
(acute renal failure) or for quite stable patients who have permanently lost
their kidney function (stage 5 chronic kidney disease). When healthy, the
kidneys maintain the body's internal equilibrium of water and minerals (sodium,
potassium, chloride, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sulfate) and the kidneys
remove from the blood the daily metabolic load of fixed hydrogen ions. The
kidneys also function as a part of the endocrine system producing erythrocyte and 1,25-hydroelectrically (calcitriol). Dialysis is an
imperfect treatment to replace kidney function because it does not correct the
endocrine functions of the kidney. Dialysis treatments replace some of these
functions through diffusion (waste removal) and ultrafiltration (fluid
removal).
Radiology
is the branch or speciality of medicine that deals with the study and
application of imaging technology like x-ray and radiation to diagnosing and
treating disease. Radiologists direct an array of imaging technologies (such as
ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), nuclear medicine, positron emission
tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)) to diagnose or treat
disease. Intervention radiology is the performance of (usually minimally
invasive) medical procedures with the guidance of imaging technologies. The
acquisition of medical imaging is usually carried out by the radiographer or
radiologic technologist.
Outside
of the medical field, radiology also encompasses the examination of the inner
structure of objects using X-rays or other penetrating radiation.
